Swapping a SBC motor into your Jeep can be a lot of parts hunting. When it comes to your cooling system for your Jeep upgrade, that parts hunt ends here. Our radiator/ fan combo is a bolt in to your Jeep and the easy way to upgrade your Jeeps cooling system to handle a V8.

When upgrading to your Jeep to a crossflow radiator for your small block or LSX conversion, there is an important detail most people gloss over. And glossing over this key detail can cause you massive headaches trying to keep your Jeep cool.

 

Because the Jeep YJ/TJ engine compartment is fairly narrow, there isn’t a lot of room to make a wide crossflow radiator for the Jeeps. As such, most Jeep crossflow radiators are made with an 18″ wide x 19″ high core. For comparison purposes, the core size is in a 68 Chevelle is 28-1/4″ wide x 19″ high. That’s a huge difference.

 

An 18″ wide core with 1″ tubes is barely adequate to cool a SBC motor. To address this, we only build the YJ and TJ radiators with 2-rows of 1-1/4″ tube cores. By using the larger HD cores with 1-1/4″ tubes, your Jeep will stay cool both cruising down the highway or on slow rock climbs where you need it.

When swapping your Jeep over to a Chevy SBC, there is an important detail most people gloss over. And glossing over this key detail can cause you massive headaches trying to keep your Jeep cool.

A common problem when swapping SBC motors into the CJs is using radiators that only have 2-rows of 1.0″ tubes. For all of our Entropy downflow radiators, we build them with 2-rows of 1″ tubes to ensure you never have to worry about your Jeep running hot. Especially while doing low gear climbs at high RPMs. This is especially true with 3 speed transmissions that turn lots of RPMs on the highway.

With a lot of things in engine swaps, you have to wonder if your combination of parts is going to fit. Is the A/C compressor going to hit the frame? Is the driver’s side header going to interfere with the steering linkage? Our Chevy SBC swap radiator has everything you need to bolt it into your Jeep and includes our lifetime warranty.
